About The Founder

Hi Friend,

My name is Mia Yona. I am a Marriage & Family therapist with a passion for working with adolescents, providing them with the necessary coping skills & promoting self-love to help them overcome obstacles and embrace their full potential.

I grew up in the suburbs of Northern New Jersey as the eldest daughter of four kids. I have always demonstrated empathy and had a deep desire to support and uplift others. As a teenager, I quickly became a trusted confidante, offering advice and solace to my peers. My ability to connect with others & understand their struggles laid the foundation for my future career in therapy.

I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a double Bachelor’s degree in communications and Human Relationships and Sexuality Studies. I was the only one at my school to choose this double major! After graduating, I embarked on a career in the music industry. However, I soon realized that my true calling lay in helping others on a deeper level, prompting me to make the life-altering decision to return to school and pursue my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

My journey from an empathetic teenager to a Marriage & Family Therapist has been characterized by a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children and adolescents. Through my unwavering dedication, I strive to empower young individuals, guiding them towards self-love and helping them navigate the complexities of life.

My passion for empowering young individuals shines through as I share my techniques and therapeutic approaches.
